I have to admit when the Harry Potter books first came out i didn’t rush to read them, mainly because for me to read one book a year is an achievement! I would rather sleep when i go to bed or sleep when i sunbathe or sleep when I’m on the bus….. bit of a trend going on here. But last year I finally picked up the first book and started reading it and have since slowly but surly worked my was through them up until the last book, the Deathly Hallows. Like a lot of people out there I am very excited to see the last two movies and finally find out the end of the story, but i have one problem. Should I carry on watching the movie then reading the book or try and read the last book before the movies are out? decisions decisions….
From watching all the movies to then reading the books, I can see why book fans got so angry at how much the plot was changed and how much detail was missed, but there was a lot of details too miss when trying to squeeze the plot into a two hour movie! Think the directors deserve some credit there! I do quite like reading the books now but knowing the overall story in the back of my mind from having seen the movie, but the books give you so much more detail and insight that I would recommend everyone to read them!
So to try read the Deathly Hallows before the movie or not…..
